When emails fire

Gift card emails are triggered by the GiftCardDispatchEvent. This event is published when a gift card is dispatched — either immediately upon order completion (for gift cards with no future delivery date) or when due gift cards are dispatched via the Admin API, Admin UI, or a cron script.
