When emails fire

Gift card emails are triggered by the GiftCardDispatchEvent. This event is published when a gift card is dispatched, either immediately upon order completion (for gift cards with no future delivery date) or when due gift cards are dispatched via the Admin API, Admin UI, or a cron script.
