MCP Tools

Product Types adds Admin tools to the Vendure MCP server. Administrators use them to set up product types, such as Wine with a required vintage, and to give products a type. There are no Shop tools, because the Shop API has no product type operation.

Requirements

• McpPlugin from @vendure/mcp-plugin in your Vendure config. The plugin registers its tools on startup, and the MCP server finds them.
• A license with the catalog.product-types capability. The server does not start when the plugin is configured without it.
• The custom fields themselves, defined in your Vendure config. A product type only decides which of them show and which are required.
